Great Tips for Skin Toning

You should tone your skin for youthful and rejuvenated feel because due to age and other things like weather, pollution and other harmful things in atmosphere, the face and other body parts starts sagging and start showing wrinkles.

Toners are used to clean the oil from the skin. They may cause skin feel tighter because of skin irritation. The skin is freshened by skin toning lotions. They help to increase the blood supply to the skin. Toning the skin helps remove any residual cleanser or make-up that may have been left behind. A toner also helps restore the natural pH level of the skin, leaves your skin clean, clear and ready to be hydrated.

Despite claims to the contrary, fresheners, toners and astringents do not close pores. As a matter of fact, no cosmetic product can alter the actual size of the pores. What really happens after using these products is a mild irritation of the skin. This results in swelling of the skin and so the pores appear less prominent. For extra oily skins, use astringent lotion instead of a toner. Toning is important for both men and women as it is the protective step after gentle, but thorough cleansing of skin as it keeps pores clean, skin healthy and breathing and thus more receptive to ultimate in nourishing care that comes with moisturising.

Rub with potato slices over the face and neck. Wash off 15 minutes later. Use this method for oily skin. Add a moisturiser if you have dry skin.
Moisten a cotton ball with toning lotion and put it on the chin, cheeks, and neck.
Use mineral water with rose water on dry skin. Avoid eyes and upper cheeks when applying.

Toners must be alcohol-free as alcohol dries off skin. You can also make a natural skin toner at home. Tomato juice is a good skin toner. Cucumber toner is a refreshing toner for normal skins. You have to tone your skin for a youthful, rejuvenated feel.

TONING THE skin is usually done using a skin tonic. There are two types of skin toners available in the market:
* Alcohol based astringents are commercially produced by a number of cosmetic companies
* Herbal skin tonics containing rose, honey or mint, also available in the market.

However, if your skin is extremely dry and shows tendencies for other more severe skin problems, toning could pose a threat. In this case, you may want to skip toning altogether, or at least, until such time as your skin has improved and you feel it's safe to return it to your dry skin care program.

Alcohol-based astringents are usually recommended for oily skins. If there is a burning sensation, discontinue and switch over to a herbal skin toner.

CELLULITES AND BEST REMEDIES

Cellulite is fat that is deposited in pockets just below the surface of the skin. It is a term used to describe the dimply appearance of skin caused by fat deposits; it generally appears on skin in the abdomen, lower limbs, and pelvic region. We all have layers of fat in our bodies. However, when collagen fibers that connects fat to the skin either stretches, breaks down, or pulls tight, allowing the fat cells to bulge out, a rippled look of cellulite is created.

The causes of cellulite include changes in metabolism, physiology, diet, others include Hormones such as insulin, estrogen, thyroid hormones, noradrenaline, and prolactin can cause cellulite, genes. There is also the issue of diet – too much fat or carbohydrates can cause cellulite.

Lifestyle factors are also inclusive such as the case where people do not exercise and sit or stand in one position for long periods of time.  clothing can be another cause; underwear with tight elastic across the buttocks (limiting blood flow) may influence the formation of cellulite.

Only a few products in the market designed to eliminate cellulite are effective. The most common are creams but only a few are effective. Even the few effective creams most times temporarily constrict blood vessels at the surface of the skin to make the appearance of cellulite temporarily less severe. However, blood vessel constriction can be harmful to those with blood constriction problems, which makes it usage, be with high caution.

Massage treatments is another treatment with temporal effects. Several machines have been introduced that massage the areas affected by cellulite, one example of massage treatments is Endermologie, This technique uses an electrically powered device that suctions, pulls, and squeezes affected areas. The only problem with it is that regular treatments are required which are expensive or else cellulites will return.

There is also the Laser or light treatments which are one of the newest forms of cellulite banishment. Laser devices target the fat beneath the skin, zapping it and effectively melting it. This breaks up the fibrous bands of fat which cause dimpling and it also stimulates the production of collagen. The only problem is that it is expensive and like Endermologie, these treatments require multiple treatment sessions and maintenance treatments to keep up the improved appearance.

Collagenase is a naturally-occurring enzyme in the body that breaks down collagen, a component of connective tissue (the tissues that bind our cells together). A study in 2006 suggested that injections with this enzyme may be beneficial in improving the appearance of cellulite. The long-term effects of these injections are still unknown, and studies have not yet been carried out to determine the extent and duration of the improvements.

Other cellulite treatments include methylxanthines which are a group of chemicals present in many cellulite creams and are promoted as treatments for cellulite because of their known ability to break down fat stores .Dietary supplements: these preparations have positive effects on the body such as boosting metabolism, improving circulation, protecting against cell damage, and breaking down fat and cellulite diets

Skin care for Acne

Acne also known as pimples is a disease that affects the oil glands of the skin. There are very small openings on your skin  which cannot be seen with the natural eyes that connect to oil glands under the skin. These glands make an oily substance called sebum. The pores connect to the glands by a canal called a follicle. Inside the follicles, oil carries dead skin cells to the surface of the skin. A thin hair also grows through the follicle and out to the skin. When the follicle of a skin gland clogs up, a pimple grows.

There are many types of pimples, the most common types are:

• Whiteheads. These are pimples that stay under the surface of the skin.

• Blackheads. These pimples rise to the skin's surface and look black. The

black color is not from dirt.

• Papules. These are small pink bumps that can be tender.

• Pustules. These pimples are red at the bottom and have pus on top.

• Nodules. These are large, painful, solid pimples that are deep in the skin.

• Cysts. These deep, painful, pus-filled pimples can cause scars.

Surprisingly there are foods which you eat that can cause acne. Though you are not discouraged from eating such foods but a balanced diet helps keep the disease level down. These foods include

Dairy
Milk contains many biological products apart from protein and nutrients which can cause increased sebum production, an oily substance that can clog pores. Although it’s not everybody that reacts by producing sebum when milk is consumed but some do even with just one cup. If you experience such try almond milk.

Carbohydrates
white bread, sugar, white pasta and baked goods which are examples of simple carbohydrates are converted into sugar quickly in the body when digested cause acne easily than complex carbohydrates, which take longer to digest. These foods may cause acne because they increase blood sugar levels, which triggers an inflammatory response in the body. However eating healthy carbohydrates is better for reducing acne than eating refined carbohydrates.

Other things that can cause acne in the body include:

Stress
For some stress can cause an outbreak while for others it doesn’t cause it but worsens it, this may be due to may be due to increased hormone production and impaired immunity. most studies have associated acne and skin issues with that correlated to high stress-levels. So be sure to manage stress so that you can decrease your prone-ness to breakouts and skin blemishes and also that of fine lines and wrinkles.

Poor hygiene:
Once pimples breakouts occur and the sebum pushes toward the surface of the skin, carrying cells with it. These cells tend to clump together, which means that instead of washing out of the pore in your skin, they clog it. Bacteria heads for the clogged pore, and that's where your pimple forms. That doesn’t mean you should wash your face too much, it could irritate the skin a couple number of times with a mild cleanser will do.

Too much exposure to sun
sun exposure may increase your skin’s oil production, which clogs your pores. That dosent mean that you should leave your home on the beach, but choose your sunscreen wisely. Also choose spray-on sunscreen, which is dissolves in alcohol instead of plant oils like palm oil. The alcohol will evaporate and only the protection is left behind.

Things you need to do to help to care for your skin

Healthy:
Eat healthily, vegetables and fruits have essential anti-oxidants that purify your body and keep your skin looking fresh. Make your diet so your system
and skin layers will have the necessary elements to perform optimally and look its best.
