American fooballer O.J. Simpson charged in 1995 has been released from jail on Monday after 9 years behind bars for kidnap and murder .
Simpson, 70, plans to relocate to FL following his term in Lovelock Correctional Cente, the medium-security prison in Nevada where he has been serving his sentence, said his attorney, Malcolm LaVergne.
“He is feeling excited,” LaVergne told KTNV-TV in city.
Simpson was granted parole at a hearing in and his release set for October 1.
Simpson was acquitted in 1995 of the ghastly murders of his ex-wife, Nicole Brown Simpson, and a male companion, Rod Goldman, in a case that devastated the country and have become referred to as the “Trial of the Century.”
But the previous National league back runner football player was sent to jail in 2008 for his role in an heist the previous year.
Simpson claimed at his trial that he was simply seeking to recover personal things from the dealers and he reiterated that at his parole board hearing where the four-member panel voted for his release.
At that hearing Simpson failed to specificy any rue for his actions however eventually offered that he was “sorry that things clad the approach they did.”
“I had no intent to commit a criminal offense,” he said. “If i'd have created a stronger judgment in the past, none of this could haven't happened.”
LaVergne, Simpson’s lawyer, told KTNV-TV that the previous NFL star planned to relocate to FL, play golf and be around his friends and family.
LaVergne said he believed that Simpson would be of good behavior.
“He’s had excellent performance as a prisoner, "LaVergne said. “I anticipate he’s progressing and will have excellent performance as a parolee.”
At the hearing, Simpson said “I'm at a degree in my life where all i want is spend, the maximum amount time as I will, with my kids and my friends.”
“Believe it or not I do have some real friends,” he said.
Simpson was condemned in October 2008 of kidnap and murder when he and 5 associates — 2 of whom were armed — ambushed the 2 sports memorabilia dealers in a casino bedroom.
He was sentenced to a minimum of 9 years in jail and a most of thirty three years.

In 1994, Simpson’s 35-year-old ex-wife, Brown Simpson, and Goldman were found death outside home, Simpson was arrested after a mild chase but was declared innocent in October 1995 after a nine-month trial, a finding that was greeted with disbelief by several Americans.
Public views on the African-American athlete’s guilt or innocence divided sharply on racial lines.
Simpson was afterwards found chargeable for the deaths in a 1997 cause and was ordered to pay damages totaling $33.5 million to the families of the victims.
Simpson has been out of the limelight while behind bars.
